Offensive Skills (2.5 Hours) - Saturday Morning:
In this session we will introduce the UMD Offensive Philosophy, which is to put pressure on the defense by driving the ball to the outfield, taking extra bases and putting the ball in play.   We will work on all aspects of offensive play including at the plate and on the basepaths.   We will touch upon swing development, zone recognition and making adjustments at the plate, as well as introduce short game concepts and aggressive baserunning and stealing strategies.

Defensive Skills (2.5 Hours) - Saturday Afternoon:
This session will focus on fundamental positional play, including infield, outfield and catching. We will assess overhand velocity and distance as well as transition time for infielders and outfielders and POP time for catchers.  All campers will spend a significant amount of time on
Throw/Catch progressions which will include high level throwing patterns, arm care and velocity development and catch play.
Infielders and outfielders will learn what it means to use your feet to help you increase your range and make quick, accurate throws, as well as how to develop soft hands and play the ball effectively in all lanes.  Catchers will spend time working on receiving pitches to help your pitchers get more strikes called, blocking/picking pitches and controlling the opponents running game.
Elite Level Hitting (5.5 Hours) - Sunday Morning and Afternoon:
During these two sessions we will take a deeper dive into becoming an Elite Hitter.  We will assess the swing metrics (bat speed, attack angle, time to contact, etc.) as well as batted ball metrics (exit velocity, launch angle and projected distance).  We will also discuss why we measure, what we can learn from these measurements and how to create an Elite Swing Pattern.
Following lunch and open forum with current UMD players and coaches, we will dive into movement patterns to aid in swing development that will create greater adjustability in the swing.  In addition, we will introduce pitch and zone recognition drills that will help hitters develop better plate discipline allowing them to swing at pitches they have a better chance at driving into the outfield gaps.  Finally, we will address how to develop a solid mental approach as a hitter to help create an Elite Mindset.
All Sunday participants will receive their individual metrics within a week.
